These lessons will cover the life history of our beloved Prophet (Pbuh). The time before his birth, his life at Makkah and Medinah and his demise. The aim is to highlight the lessons and morals one can take from the events that took place in the life of the greatest man to ever walk upon the earth, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

About Shaykh Muhammad Ismail Bhuta

Muhammad Ismail Bhuta was born into a scholarly family in West Sussex, UK. He grew up in London under the guidance of his father, Shaykh Ismail Bhuta and his elder brother Shaykh Abdul Mateen. He started learning Islam at a young age. After completing his secondary school education and basic Islamic studies he travelled to South Africa and enrolled at the distinguished Islamic seminary, Dar al-Uloom Azaadville, Johannesburg. He undertook a six year Intensive study of various traditional Islamic sciences including Arabic language and literature, Aqidah, Tafsir, Hadith and Fiqh. He graduated with distinction in the summer of 2004 having received authorizations in various books including the six major collections of Hadith. After returning to the UK he travelled to Syria and furthered his knowledge and experience by benefiting from the academic lectures of many scholars there.

He currently serves as a teacher and lecturer at Ebrahim College, London. He is also the Co-ordinator of an evening Islamic supplementary school and a regular Friday Khatib and lecturer at various Islamic centres and Masajid in London.

Girls Age 11 + Karate and Self Defence Class Mondays 8PM to 9PM

It is important that in this day and age we encourage health and physical strength in our children and this should include our daughters. Rasulullah (SAW) stated that “A strong believer is better and more liked by Allah than a weak believer and there is good in both,” (Muslim).

The Karate and Self Defense classes will be taught by Sister Nasreen a qualified Instructor and will be held every Monday at 8PM to 9PM at the Quwwatul Islam Girls School Hall at the back of the Masjid at 16 Chaucer Road E7 9NB. Classes will start from Monday 20th October 2014

Girls at the Madrassah are being given first priority, thereafter girls from the local area will be allowed to join.

Enrolment is on a first come first served basis.

Payments are non refundable if your child is absent.

Discrete changing facility for the girls will be available

Clothing should cover the whole body e.g. base layer polo neck top and track suit, long sweat or t-shirt with joggers or loose trousers must be worn. Or a Japan Karate Association Karate Suit with Badge and Logo £25 which must be worn with polo neck vest.

Head scarves must be secured with safety pins.

Please do not wear jewellery.

Please collect your child promptly at 9:00 PM

If you would like your daughter to attend please get a form from the Upton Lane Masjid anytime between 5.15pm-6.45pm and return it as early as possible with your payment for the first 4 lessons of £10 to the office at Quwwatul Islam Maktab/Alimah classes.

Fitness 4 all – fit or unfit , these sessions will improve your overall fitness. Whole body workout for strength and endurance.

The weekly Lecture is delivered in English with selected verses of the Noble Qur’an and the Blessed Ahadith of Rasulullah (sallal lahu alayhi wa sallam). A whole range of traditional and contemporary topics are covered, with a focus on the relevance of the Glorious Shari’ah to every aspect of life.

Qari Irfan Adul Aziz Khan Hadith Dars Every Saturday after Salat-ul Esha
