السلام علیکم و رحمة الله و بركاته

Alhamdulillah, Ramadhan is here and at Quwwat-ul-Islam we will be having Iftari and Taraweeh prayers throughout the whole month Insha’Allah.

There will be some guidelines/rules to follow so we require your full cooperation at all times to make everything operate smoothly and successfully. Please adhere to all the rules and listen to the volunteers and the management team when instructed.

Asar

  • You will come for Asar prayers as normal with your prayer mat (only full size allowed) and face mask covering your mouth and nose at all times.

  • Toilet or wudu facilities will not be available in the masjid, please come prepared from home for all Salahs. If you need to leave the masjid at any point, then you will only be allowed to re-enter if there is a space.

  • Due to our capacity being reduced for social distancing, the masjid doors will be closed unfortunately once the capacity has been reached.

  • There will be a daily talk after Asar Salah from local Scholars/Ulama.

  • If you wish to stay in the masjid until Maghrib then you must remain seated in your places for the duration of this time. Please bring your own Quran/Mus’haf if you wish to recite during this period.

Iftari/Maghrib

  • Volunteers will distribute dates and water 15 minutes prior to Iftar time. Please remain in your place. You may bring your own but please do not share this with other brothers. No other food/drinks will be permitted.

  • During the Maghrib adhan, volunteers will collect any waste. Please take any leftover water/dates home with you. If you can dispose/recycle your water bottle at home then that would help the masjid staff.

  • There will be 5 minutes permitted to pray your Sunnah after the Fardh Salah after which we kindly ask you to leave promptly as the masjid will close for approximately 30 minutes for cleaning purposes. Only staff will be permitted to remain in the masjid at this time.

Esha/Taraweeh

  • The masjid will remain closed after maghrib for a minimum of 30 minutes. Please avoid coming too early as social distancing is neglected in queues.

  • You will come as normal with your prayer mat (only full size allowed) and face mask covering your mouth and nose at all times.

  • Places cannot be reserved by anyone or on your behalf

  • As before, the masjid doors will be closed once the capacity has been reached.

  • The first saf/row directly behind the imam will be reserved for the Huffaz only.

  • We encourage you to bring your own water for Taraweeh Salah and please stay in your space for the entirety of the prayers.

  • There will be no talks given by scholars after Taraweeh Salah and everyone must leave promptly after your Nafl Salah (5 mins permitted). Please do not congregate outside the masjid or cause any noise disturbance which would affect the local residents. Any negative complaints could be reported to the council by local residents which could jeopardise our Salah. Please take responsibility to safeguard our masjid from such complaints.
